It was great to be asked to nerd out with, well...some other nerds about movies and horror and some cheeseball goodness. The topic was "Unpopular Opinions", and oh boy, we sure have them. Thanks so much to the SPOOKY DOINGS Podcast for casting the line, I had fun talking wit chooz. SO...You wanna hear it, don't ya? Fret not! Click away. And don't forget to share!

Seeking bassist for new project. Long Island based. Indie/Alt/Experimental. Rehearsals on LI, Thurs and/or Fri nights 7pm-? Everything is lining up. This year has been a struggle but I have fought to build this band and have two incredible gentlemen at my side, we just need our last piece. Rehearsals are clean and safe and cheap. We are thrilled with the material and basically have our first record written.
Influences include: Mineral, The Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, Ours, The Police, Nirvana...
We have been approaching this with open and positive attitudes. No pressure. Judgement free zone. But we do have goals and need a responsible team player. Please inquire. We look forward to meeting you.

Hi friends. Hope you're all doing good! I wanted to tell you about this cool project I'm involved in for the next week or so. I am honored to be partnering up with Leesta Vall Sound Recordings for their Shut-In Sessions. I've always wanted to release a vinyl and now I have the opportunity because of this great project.
Here is some info: Each record will contain a one-of-a-kind live song JUST FOR YOU. I will begin all songs with a message directly to you. NO other copies of YOUR record will be cut. It is 100% one-of-a-kind.
You will see on my preorder campaign that I have 6 original songs for you to choose from. I picked 2 old, 2 new and 2 middle of the road. We have all had to be very creative during this time about how we run our lives, and this is just such a cool idea. Every order will be a different recording and message. Even if someone picks the same song, it will be a different version. Raw and urgent and very simply recorded in my home. NOTHING fancy, just a snapshot of survival. I can't wait for you to participate so I can make these for YOU. Thank you and I appreciate it.
Here is the preorder link. It will go off sale next Monday the 11th at which time I will do your songs, send them over to Leesta Vall Sound Recordings and then they will get YOUR record to you!

Greetings Earthlings. I am currently working on giving my site a bit of a makeover for 2020. Initially I used to redo it EVERY year on New Years Day, but over the last few years I sort of let it stay the way it was. For me it was neat and concise and looked good, so...I just let it be. BUT now with it being 2020, a new look is a must. So, I'm hours into going crazy in revamping and hoping for the light at the end of the tunnel, cause honestly...it's a pain in the ass. Most everything I do is DIY...So, HAPPY NEW YEAR, let's rock!

Check out this great Podcast I did tonight with Dave Fox and Arthur Roberts (both former Posies members) We had a quick chat with Hosts Jebb and Tyler for their "Jebb and Green Cast" - We discussed music, future collaborations and shared a few quick stories. This one won't take you more than 15 minutes. So lend an ear and share. There are also a bunch of other great episodes these guys have done. So please hit up YouTube and get into the JEBB AND GREEN CAST. The episode from tonight is called, "Your Friend Jebb Special Episode". Was a pleasure. Thanks to all the guys.

Saturday, October 26th was the 9 year anniversary of my mighty Mother's passing. As if the day wasn't already historical enough for me I awoke to the shocking news that my friend, former Nox Cult bandmate and often Music-Survival-Guide co-host Ronnie "Monkey"...had left us. This news being even more earth-shaking as just Thursday night we went to his home with our Daughter and celebrated Halloween with his wife and kids, ate junkfood and watched The Nightmare Before Christmas. It was one of those perfect and simple moments we all take for granted. It is a moment I will now thank God for the rest of my life I was given as less than 40 hours later, he was gone. As a bandmate and professional partner he was not an easy man to work with, but, what I can tell you is that he could play everything effortlessly and was the best drummer I ever had. He knew his way around every piece of gear he touched and truly was masterful. When not doing music he worked for his Dad's company and maintained a ferocious work ethic we would all envy while providing for his wife and two children. Now, my heart aches for them. This is the fourth band member I have lost in my time making music, and I hate it. I lit a candle for them and my Mother. People...please understand that this life is a gift and nothing with it is certain. Make amends, make peace and try for happiness. I will do the same.

This past weekend was a whirlwind of fun and privilege. It was such an honor to be a part of the end of Spookey Ruben's rare East Coast tour (NYC, NJ, & LI) first performing as O.T. Biggs in his experimental VHS show to playing and singing side by side with him at the amazing private house show we hosted, (which was also Piper's first show!) All this was also surrounded by the amazing art of Yori Hatakeyama and our friends/extended family. Special thanks to John for being a good sport and to Lemons and Gem for traveling with me and feeding me! And of course, endless thanks and gratitude to SPOOKEY for letting me be a part of all this greatness.

Crazy to even say...this album is now celebrating it's 20 year anniversary. I always talk about other people's records that changed my life...but this one certainly has and I MADE THIS ONE. I'm so happy to have been a very young kid making music on as serious a level that I possibly could have. I was the only teenager in my town saying I was making records. People didn't get it. I'm going to celebrate this album as much as I can for the next few weeks and breathe some new/more life into it. This record did a lot for us...some really awesome experiences. I can go on and on...I'll do a big post for this over at MUSIC-SURVIVAL-GUIDE soon. I wanted to do much more for this album 20 years later but my budget is really not much of a "budget" these days. But how cool is it that I can tell you that today, 20 years later, "MEOW" is getting bit of a re-release digitally! It'll now be further and finally available on services like iTunes, Amazon Music, Google Play and well beyond that as it continues to get distributed. You'll be able to STREAM this record now well outside of the Soda world. Music never dies, it continues to live and sometimes grow. So, go discover and never stop digging and maybe sometime this weekend find a new spot to listen to "MEOW" and let me know what you find! Special thanks to Mike for years of camaraderie.
